After anger, fury seizes Achilles. In this episode, a little harder than the others, it reaches its climax: like an enraged lion, the hero takes revenge and seeks, at the same time, to cover himself with glory. But after killing Hector, he knows that he is condemned. He is a peaceful hero who is moved by Priam's pain, in one of the most poignant passages of the Iliad reproduced here , and who finally accepts his destiny.
